Is the Koran the Most Authentic Celestial Book?

Is the Koran the Most Authentic Celestial Book?

The article was originally published on Younus AlGohar’s Medium page.

As a child, born and bred in a Muslim family in Pakistan, I had always been told that all the other celestial books have been gravely adulterated. We believed that the Bible and Torah were given to Messengers from God and they were the true word of God; however, subsequent to great modifications in those religions, these two books also were adulterated on a ridiculous scale.

As Muslims, we were always told to believe that the Koran is the most accurate book on the face of the world. At the same time, we were told to reject any remote possibility of doubting the authenticity of the book; this was because God Almighty himself had taken the responsibility of keeping the Koran protected. We always had this belief that the Koran cannot be adulterated, though we didn’t really know how.

Authenticity of God’s Word

As I grew up and I became a fortunate disciple of His Divine Eminence Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi, I began to understand that God’s word is God’s word. It does not lose its significance if God’s word was delivered to Jesus, Moses or Abraham. I also began to understand that the fact that the [Koran] was given to Prophet Mohammad does not increase its authenticity in comparison to the [Torah and Bible].

We cannot simply say that the celestial books [other than the Koran] are less accurate or insignificant — especially when we know that the Bible, Torah and Koran are God’s word. God’s word is authentic [no matter what prophet it is given to].

However, [as Muslims] we have always been very biased towards the Koran; we have always had this unexplainable reservation and ridiculous prejudice for the Torah and Bible. Unfortunately, adulteration has been the most common factor in all the celestial books. Having become a Sufi and having done comparative studies of religions, I noticed that Muslims still do not want to admit the Koran can be subjected to any adulteration. Somehow or other, it is not just possible for them to do so.

I do not want to offend or disorient anyone. However, I would like to sum up my experience, observation and theological analysis.

My findings are: even if the Koran has not been adulterated, the consequences are no lesser in fatality than that of the Bible or of the Torah. It is not about the words; it is about the meaning.

If the words are as accurate as they were at the time of revelation, but the meaning and understanding of the words have been subject to deception, the result is the same.

Let’s suppose the Koran is free of all doubts and the most authentic book on Earth from God. Does it benefit humanity or the Muslim nation?

If one medicine is adulterated and another is ‘pure’ — but neither of them works for you when you take them, then something is wrong with the pure medicine whether or not you want to accept it. If a patient who took the medicine died, [calling it pure is like refusing to accept] that the medicine killed a man.

If we assume that the Koran became more authentic — not because it was God’s word, but because it was revealed to a Muslim prophet — we would be giving significance to Prophet Mohammad [over] God.

The authenticity of the Koran lies not in it being revealed upon the heart of Prophet Mohammad, but because it is God’s word. If it is authentic, it is authentic because it was God’s word. [But then again, why do Muslims think that] God’s word which was revealed to Moses, Jesus or Abraham is not authentic?

The Nature of the Koran

Once upon a time, there were 73 sects in Islam, but today every single Muslim is an [authority on the religion]. The way people prioritise their opinion in relation to the priority given to Koran only suggests to me that Koran is somewhere in the background. What is more important to people is their own understanding.

Let’s not make an issue out of this; let’s just say that the Koran is very authentic. However, to paraphrase an Urdu proverb, ‘If you think the goat is still alive just because its eyes are wide open, you are gravely mistaken.’

The Koran is very authentic, but the Muslim nation is dead.

You need to understand human philosophy if you want to understand God. God said that he created you upon his own nature; so however corrupt you are, God is on the same page. However pure you may be, you cannot exceed God in purity; if you cannot exceed God in purity, then you cannot exceed God in corruption.

I have every reason to believe that God’s lousy attitude towards humanity has been the prime concern; it has played havoc.

He has been very careless and reckless with words. He just said whatever was dancing on the tips of his tongue. He created piles upon piles of doubts in the Koran.

To my understanding, I would get away if I decide to read a novel from Mills & Boons rather than studying the Koran. It wouldn’t pollute your heart on the same scale. God has subjected [the Koran] to a great deal of corruption and violence. There is nothing in Islamic history but blood. ‘An eye for an eye, an arm for an arm,’ if you follow this rule, everybody would be blind and be limping. However, contemporary Muslims have closed their eyes to reality.

The way the Koran was compiled by Companions of the Prophet has added to the [abundance of] problems that were in it. In the Chapter of Light, God is talking about menses and in the Chapter of Women, God is talking about light. If you read the Koran carefully, you will be completely dismayed and disappointed in God. He doesn’t finish one sentence before starting another.

If I am a holy water well and I give one man dirty water, another man pure water and yet another man blood, as I still the most authentic? [This is what the Koran does]. Every single recipient is dispensed different medicines from the Koran.

Muslims say, ‘The Koran is the most authentic book.’ Then why are they diversified to a degree where no more divisions can be made? Islam has been made subject to total mischief. It is not alive anymore — but God is.

This is why we are calling humanity through divine love. The nature of this divine love is based on His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi’s concept of love.

A Miraculous Incident in Islamabad, Pakistan

A Miraculous Incident in Islamabad, Pakistan

A viewer of Younus AlGohar’s live YouTube discourses from Islamabad, Pakistan, recently sent an email telling him about a miraculous incident he and his father experienced with the blessings of His Divine Eminence Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi. The following is his account.

Dear Beloved Mr Younus AlGohar,

I want to share with you what happened to me today.

I have conversed with my father about His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi in the past on many occasions. We had always engaged in meaningful discussion but we ended with no result. I believe in His Divine Eminence – as he is not only the Grand God and Imam Mehdi, but he is much bigger than anyone can understand his reality, his personality or even describe him in poetry!

My father believed that HDE Gohar Shahi is a good person, a saint, a wonderful philosopher and great thinker, but he didn’t believe that HDE Gohar Shahi is Imam Mehdi. I tried to convince him but to no avail.

Yesterday, I had a discussion with my father again. Unlike the past, this time I got angry at my father. I walked sadly far away from him. On this occasion, I said in my heart, ‘His Divine Eminence, please show my father who you are. Please forgive his ignorant words.’

Today, my father got up to offer early morning prayers (Fajr). When he finished his prayer, he noticed that a comely face had manifested at the prostration place on the prayer mat – the place where he bows his head. It was the divine face of His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi and he was smiling at my father. My father got confused and concentrated on the face. As he concentrated, he saw the face getting clearer and clearer. At that moment, he exclaimed, ‘Subhan Allah (Praise to God)!’

He jumped up from his place, ran to my room and woke me up. I came directly to him and asked him what happened. He said, ‘Come with me.’ He took me to his prayer room and showed me the place of prostration. He asked me, ‘What do you see?’ I looked, smiled and said to him, ‘First of all, tell me: what are you seeing?’

He said, ‘I am seeing a big beautiful face of His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi smiling at me.’ I replied, ‘This is a direct and obvious sign from him for you to believe in him!’ He said, ‘Your grandeur is beyond imagination, HDE Gohar Shahi!’ He started to kiss the image and he said, ‘HDE Gohar Shahi, forgive me for I did not know about you.’

I am so happy that my father enrolled to HDE Gohar Shahi’s Lover’s Club. May HDE Gohar Shahi bless him with his love.

Thank you very much, dear sir.

Messiah Foundation UK at the Croydon PrideFest 2017!

Messiah Foundation UK at the Croydon PrideFest 2017!

Messiah Foundation International UK participated in this year’s Croydon PrideFest to show their support for the LGBT community. Our team had an amazing time! Many of our delegates took part in various activities such as face painting, dancing to the live music and much more.

The LGBT community has been marginalised from the society and is subjected to discrimination even today. However, we at Messiah Foundation do not care whether you are transgender, bisexual, homosexual, heterosexual or anything else. Our message caters for the souls, not the bodies! We simply love and respect humanity. Therefore, the Croydon PrideFest was a wonderful opportunity to introduce our message of love, peace and equality to members of the LGBT community.

More than 3000 festival-goers saw the Divine Signs and merciful images of HDE Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi and Jesus Christ. Our members held up banners near the entrance of Queens Gardens where the parade culminated. Over 100 copies of the Messiah Herald Magazine, a monthly publication by Messiah Foundation, were also distributed at the pride.

Mr Steve Reed, Croydon’s Labour MP, issued a statement in support of Messiah Foundation’s labour of love. Here is what he said:

‘We’re all minorities in this community, and we have to look out for each other. It’s good to see you all out here tonight and I am delighted to support you!’

Another festival-goer stated,

‘Wow, it’s great to see and hear something new and exciting. Your organisation is doing a wonderful job towards the betterment of our society!’

Overall, the festival was sensational. We will continue to participate in such events in the near future as we spread HDE Gohar Shahi’s message.

Self-Awareness Level 2, Lesson 7: Emotional Sanity

Self-Awareness Level 2, Lesson 7: Emotional Sanity

Self-Awareness Level 2, Lesson 7: Emotional Sanity

Editor’s note: the following is the seventh lesson in Younus AlGohar’s course on Self-Awareness, Level 2: Emotional Intelligence.

For better background information, read Self-Awareness, Level 1, in the Messiah Herald.

Read Self-Awareness, Level 2, Lesson 6 here.

Having studied different cases relating to our intellectual well-being and welfare, the findings have astoundingly surprised me. I conclude that the human brain is so vulnerable to becoming prey to different situations where emotions play their part, and our emotional sanity is badly affected.

What happens to our mental welfare when we strive and long for certain things but don’t get them? A sense of deprivation prevails on the surface of our emotional river. What transpires in a human brain when a person has access to all luxuries and comforts in the world?

The Sense of Achievement and Sense of Deprivation

Let’s suppose a child asks his or her parents to buy an expensive toy. Some parents are financially well-off and have so much love for their child that they buy that expensive toy for their child.

Having acquired that toy, what transpires in the faculty of the child’s emotions? What possible emotional aftermath could occur when the child’s desire is fulfilled? He must have gotten a sense of achievement.

In comparison to the child who acquired the toy of his or her desire, let’s talk about a child who had a similar desire but his or her parents were not able to afford that toy. As a result, there was a sense of deprivation felt by the child.

We have to closely monitor these two senses. What would be the impact of these two different senses on these two different children?

If this is just a single incident, whereby the child did not receive the toy from his or her parents, and when another toy is desired, it is given to the child, that initial sense of deprivation would become null and void. For the child who did acquire the expensive toy, the sense of achievement would have created this notion in his or her brain that anything is reachable. He or she begins to think, ‘I just need to say it for it to be done.’ This is where the imbalance in your emotional state occurs.

The Duty of a Parent

Once the child acquired what he or she desired, now is the time for that sense of achievement to become null and void. Next time when the child asks for even a small toy, don’t give it to him or her. By doing this, you are actually securing his or her emotional well-being. The sense of achievement the child had developed when he or she acquired the expensive toy will go down the drain when another desired toy is not given to him or her. Their emotional sanity is restored.

If you had refused to buy a toy for your child, the sense of deprivation would strike on his or her mind; what you should do is to buy your child the toy they ask for next time, even if it is inexpensive. If you don’t do that, the sense of deprivation will have taken root in the child’s brain which is not good for his or her emotional sanity.

The sense of achievement and deprivation both go hand in hand. They are parallel to each other.

When a child is sick, the doctors tell you to give the child paracetamol – and, in intervals, give them ibuprofen. Similarly, fulfil one desire of the child and say no to the other.

Say no to one toy and say yes to the other. If you keep saying yes every time the child wishes to get something, you are actually destroying your child. If you keep saying no every time, because you think, ‘I do not have means, how can I buy anything for my child?’ this is detrimental to your child’s mental health. Even if you have to borrow some money, get your child the toy because you will be doing it for the sake of the welfare and wellbeing their emotional state.

The same goes for the adults. If you try and every time you try, you fail, this is going to have a very bad impact on your emotional sanity.

When I was in Pakistan, a friend of mine asked me to go to China with him. So we went to the Chinese embassy. He got the visa but I was refused. Then we made a plan to visit Bangladesh. We applied for a visa. He got the visa but I was refused. I was beginning to wonder, ‘Why? What’s wrong with me?’ I didn’t really realise what was going on. Then a few months later, I applied for the British visa. When I was entering the UK embassy in Islamabad, I was so nervous and paranoid; my heart was galloping like a horse. I was denied the visa once again. At this point, my emotional sanity was disturbed.

Then, I applied for the Indian visa and I got it. You can’t imagine how happy I was! I had broken the shackles – I was on the no-go list and suddenly I got a visa. My emotional rationality and sanity was being restored. Getting the visa was one thing, but the aftermath implications of having or not having the visa was another.  If I have the visa, I will have a sense of achievement, if I don’t have it, I will have a sense of deprivation. Both are aftermath impacts. I was relieved and it restored my emotional condition.

For example, every day in your business, you are losing £1000. Suddenly, one day, you make £500. You will be amazingly happy because the losing streak has stopped. That change will make you happy – not because of the monetary benefit, but because of your emotional well-being. The sense of deprivation will be gone. The sense of achievement, when you needed it, will restore your emotional sanity.

What Affects The Emotional State?

We are living in a jungle of different types of emotions. Every action and deed is directly linked with an emotion.

Every action and deed, whether it is your deed or somebody else’s, is going to have some effect on your emotional state. For example, if you see somebody is helping the needy ones, you will have positive emotions for that person. If someone is beating up somebody for no reason and is being abusive, you will have negative emotions for them.

Everything we do will have an impact on the emotional sanity of people around us. You are the one who will make positive or negative emotions in the hearts of other people.

What you do will shape up emotions of people for you. This is the reason why some people fake what they do in order to earn positive emotions from others. In the eyes of people, they do certain things and everybody praises them but behind the scenes, something else is going on.

If the schools, colleges and universities are full, you should not expect anybody to be ignorant but even then the world is full of ignorance. Similarly, when the mosques, churches, temples and synagogues are full of worshippers, why is the world bad?

When these people are in the worship places, they are good; when they come out, they change. If they were genuinely worshipping God, they would have changed. This world would have changed.

Are You Emotionally Intelligent?

It’s not just your actions. What you say is also directly linked with emotions. When you say something nice, it will please many hearts. One nasty word from you will trouble so many hearts. People will develop a sense of hatred because they cannot deny what they see and hear.

No matter what you do behind the scenes, what you do in front of people is the only thing that will create negative or positive emotions in their hearts.

People have negative emotions for you because of your bad deeds and words. People love you and praise you because of your good deeds and morality. The way you give people respect and the way you conduct yourself [will generate positive emotions in their hearts for you]. You are not emotionally intelligent if you do not realise this.

Some wounds that are caused by weapons heal quickly, but the wounds done to your heart verbally stay on the soul forever and are never healed. Make sure you are very careful with your mouth. With this one piece of meat between your jaws, you create problems for yourself.

Everything is live. People change their mind every second. You could do good things all your life and just do one bad thing will make people change their mind about you. Be careful. Nobody is your enemy. You yourself are either your friend or enemy. When you become carefree and think, ‘I will do what I want to do,’ you are actually making people hate you. You think you are powerful and you got away with what you said, but people will hate you because you are exposing yourself. If you are incapable of doing any goodness, stay the way you are, but do not fake it.

We are all closely linked to each other. Our lives are very much dependent on each other. You cannot live a solitary life. Our happiness is very much dependent on others. Emotions are the backbone of your social life. What you say and do will definitely create some kind of emotions in your heart as well as in the heart of others.

Conflict of Emotions

Do you realise that in the moment in time when you feel a sense of achievement ,somebody in front of you is touching upon the sense of deprivation?

There is a conflict of emotions between you and that person, which will create jealousy.

Day in and day out, we only care about ourselves and we hurt others. When we do this, even our family members are emotionally millions of miles away from our hearts. Sometimes we do it and we are responsible for creating this rift and sometimes they are responsible. How can you have a good relationship when emotionally you are falling apart?

Now is the time for us to be emotionally and spiritually intelligent. We should know what it is that is good for us and what is bad for us.

In order to have a good relationship, you want to make sure that your emotions are aligned and you do what you can to create an emotional bond [with those around you]. When you do not have an emotional bond, how can you have a love bond? It is not just our own emotions – we should also be concerned about the emotions of those who live around us.

A good spiritual man is one who only begets positive emotions, who does not beget negative emotions and who does not cause any other person to beget negative emotions.

Food For Thought

Do we care about the effect of what we do and say on the people who live with us? Or the people that we are dealing with in our day-to-day lives? We also must monitor ourselves and ensure that anything we say does not affect anybody’s emotional sanity or cause them to create negative emotions in their hearts.

On the other hand, if you are doing or saying the right thing – for the benefit of humanity –  and it hurts somebody, then it is not your problem. This is because they do not care about humanity; the truth is hurting them because they care about their ego. If they did not care about their ego and actually cared about the humanity, then the truth would make them happy. Always say the right thing [no matter what].

Are Sufis Guided By Books? | By Younus AlGohar

Are Sufis Guided By Books? | By Younus AlGohar

What is Sufism? Who are Sufis and are they guided by books? How to recognise a fake Sufi? Find the answers in Younus AlGohar’s enlightening lecture on Sufism.

Main Points:

– These are the most turblent times in human history. The turbulence is caused by religious malfunctioning. Radicalisation is being hammered into the minds of youths and aspiring Muslims by the ignorant scholars of the religion who claim to be Sufis.

– Sufism is not a practice. Sufism is a mechanism and the mechanics of Sufism are rooted deep down in the heart. If you don’t know about Sufism you will think whatever the scholars tell you is Sufism, however, they themselves are unaware. Yes

– Tahir ul Qadri claims to be a Sufi scholar; all the knowledge he has about Sufism is what he has gathered from reading thousands of books on Sufism. This is not how you obtain guidance.

– God dispenses guidance in different ways, however, the recipient of guidance is your heart. Opening of the Spiritual Heart is the gateway to Spirituality and Sufism. If you claim to be a Sufi but do not know about Opening of the Spiritual Heart, you are a greater terrorist than Abu Bakkar al-Baghdadi.

#AskYounusAlGohar – Is The Religion of God a New Religion?

#AskYounusAlGohar – Is The Religion of God a New Religion?

#AskYounusAlGohar – Is The Religion of God a New Religion?

The following is Younus AlGohar’s reply to a question posed by a viewer during his daily live speeches on AlRa TV. You can tune in and ask Younus AlGohar questions every day at 10:00 PM UK time on the AlRa TV YouTube channel.

The Religion of God means that it is God’s religion. If you think it is a new religion, it must mean that God is also new. However, God is not new. It is the same God who sent Adam, Moses, Abraham, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammad.

Moses was influenced by The Religion of God and created a religion for mankind; Jesus was influenced by The Religion of God and created a religion for mankind. How can you claim that The Religion of God is a new religion?

The Religion of God and the Koran

It is written in the Koran, ‘O’ Prophet Mohammad, a day will come when you will see big chunks of human beings entering into The Religion of God.’ [Koran 110:2]

At another point, it says: ‘O’ Prophet, when The Religion of God is established in the world, then turn your face towards it because it is the religion of the future. All other religions will be wiped out but the majority of human beings are unaware of this.’ [Koran 30:30]

The majority of people don’t know that The Religion of God has to be established; Muslims think that Islam has been established and that’s the end of the story. If somebody is under the impression that Islam is the last religion and it will remain forever, they should know that Islam is not The Religion of God; it was established by Prophet Mohammad. According to the Koran, The Religion of God is greater than Islam.

The Koran instructed Prophet Mohammad to turn his face towards The Religion of God because it would be the religion of the future. The Koran was revealed when Islam had already been established. So Islam could not be The Religion of God that the Koran referred to.

The problem with clerics of Islam is that when they are proven wrong, they say, ‘That is not what that particular verse of the Koran actually means.’ Why don’t they use their common sense? Otherwise, they should say that Islam will be established in the future and that’s when Prophet Mohammad will turn his face towards it.

Do you think that Prophet Mohammad spent 23 years propagating Islam and even then, he didn’t manage to establish the religion? Do you think Prophet Mohammad’s face wasn’t already towards Islam when Koran 30:30 was revealed? That is like saying that the religion of Islam did not exist these verses of the Koran were revealed and that it would be made in the future. How ridiculous!

The clerics can confuse the common Muslims, but they cannot make a fool out of a learned man. I have read the Koran and different interpretations. My message to clerics is to stop misguiding the Muslim nation. Do not say ridiculous things which can cause Muslims to be further divided.
