Liberating Your Inner Person – Mt Shasta Day 1

Liberating Your Inner Person – Mt Shasta Day 1

The following is an excerpt from Sufi Spiritual Revivalist Younus AlGohar’s speech on Day 1 of the Mt Shasta Heart Activation Event.

In the world we are living in, people have different goals. Initially, I used to think love is befitting to all but after 20 years of travelling around the world and meeting different people, I have come to know that love is not befitting to everybody.

There are loving souls and only the loving souls will embrace love. Then, there are those whose aims in this life are to obtain power, wealth and rule the world. Whoever they are, whatever religion they practise, they are the ones who currently are controlling our lives.

This is a world of reasoning. This world is not eternal. It will perish one day.

The knowledge that I am talking about is divine knowledge, it differs to individuals. With the help of the Activation of the Heart, the only wealth you would obtain is the divine wealth. You may obtain a reflection of God in you. This knowledge of the Heart Activation will not let you have control of the world or give you any monetary benefits. This is purely spiritual.

It is all about your aims and target. There are people who want to control the lives of others. There are only a few who are powerful and control everything – but do they represent God? Is the power that they have eternal? If they control the world, are they going to leave any pleasant impact on the lives of people? No.

Jesus and Moses are still remembered in people’s hearts with respect and they did not control people’s lives. For example, Moses was a liberator. He liberated people and gave them freedom. There are people who think that if they have power, they are God – but that is very temporal.

The peace of the heart is not in controlling people’s lives. It is in controlling our untamed desires.

When divine love enters the heart, you will love yourself and the entire world. The satisfaction, bliss and ecstasy that you will find in love – you will not find it in power, money, strength or controlling the lives of people.

Question: How do we become sincere with ourselves? How do we deal with enemies before and after the heart is activated?

People who are naive to spirituality often get confused about how the heart is activated and what actually happens to the heart when it’s activated. They want to know the substance and what change is brought to the heart. They want to know what it is in the heart which isn’t already activated. These are very common questions.

Then, when we tell them about the spiritual functions of the heart, they become very confused and tell themselves, ‘The heart is a lump of flesh and its function is no more than pumping the blood flow of the body. The most it will do is oxygenate the blood, that’s it. But when a Sufi speaks about the heart he speaks so highly of it.’

Spirituality explains that this physical heart itself can not do anything, but there is a spirit which is sitting on the heart. That spirit is dormant; it’s in a sleeping mode – it’s inactive. That spirit needs to be introduced to spiritual consciousness. It needs to be revived. When that spirit is revived, it is revived with the name of God.

In the actual, factual world, the name of God, when pronounced by the mouth, is nothing. But when it is granted by God through a Spiritual Master, that word has a soul inside it. It has energy.

Do not forget, initially, Jesus Christ said that he was ‘the Word’ and ‘The Word was with God.’ (John 1:1) Then, ‘The Word became flesh.’ (John 1:14) So this is the same type of ‘Word’ we are talking about.

When this word – God, Allah, Elohim, Dios, etc. –  is granted by Spiritual Guide, it carries a small soul with it which is given to the spirit that sits on the heart. With the light of that name, that spirit is revived. Thereafter, that spirit is synchronised in the throbbing system of the heart. With each throb of the heart, it repeats God’s name.

Why is God’s name practised inside the beating system of the heart? Because this is how the divine energy is produced. When two stones are rubbed together, it produces a spark. In a similar way, when God’s name is repeated in this fashion, it creates divine energy. So, we become a source of energy by ourselves. It is like a generator. Many Sufi’s used God’s name as crude oil for this generator. So, God’s name is like oil to a generator. If you want electricity because you don’t have a connection, you would use a generator but in order to run the generator, you would need oil.

Similarly, this heart is like a generator and it needs crude oil. That crude oil can be God’s name, the name of Jesus Christ, Moses, Abraham or Mohammad – any name which has come from God. That name is then implanted in the beating system of the heart and it keeps generating divine energy. Our heart is constantly supplied with this divine energy. In three years’ time, this spirit is completely nurtured and it will take after your shape and that is the ‘spiritual you’.

In three years time, when it’s completely grown up and takes your shape, it becomes able to come out of your body. When it is able to come out of your body, that’s when you are able to establish a transcendental meditation. You sit with your legs crossed and then, you want to perform transcendental meditation. That spirit, which after three years has grown up and looks like you, can leave your body. Then it will ascend and reach its respective realm.

This is just one example. There seven souls in your body.

According to Kabbalah, the heart will reach the Realm of Angels (Alam-e-Malakout). Then we have the Main Soul which is your reality. It comes from The Realm of Souls (Alam-e-Jabarout).

The transcendental meditation will only take place when all these souls are nurtured, grown up and have taken your shape. They will look like you when they are grown up and appear in your dreams. When you become a Spiritual Master, these souls will come and then guide you. When you need [your Spiritual Guide], you call upon him and he will come and help you – not his body but his souls.

I’ll tell you a story of Great Saint Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani. One day, 800-900 years ago, many of his disciples invited him to dinner. His disciples were really confused because every time somebody would come and tell him, ‘You are invited to my house,’ he would say, ‘Yes I will come.’ and people said, ‘How many places would you go at the same time?’ but he kept on smiling.

He went to 17 different places at a time but physically, he stayed at home. His wife asked him, ‘You’re not going to all these places? You promised the people.’ and he said, ‘No, forget it.’

But he went to the homes of everybody he promised to visit; he sat with them, ate with them, etc. The question is: who was he? The body was at home while all these souls that he was able to nurture came out of the body and went [in his place].

You and I also have this ability in ourselves. You and I can also attain these spiritual levels. It’s not just about consciousness.

Consciousness is a very elementary level in spirituality.

After consciousness, you need strength, power and ability to make spiritual journeys. All these messengers were gifted with this knowledge. Adam was the first one; God gave him the knowledge of the heart. When Abraham came, subsequent to the knowledge of the heart, Abraham aided to the knowledge of the soul as well. This is why we say in spirituality, ‘The place of Abraham is in the Realm of Souls.’ He was given the practical knowledge of activation of the soul.

Then came Moses. He was equipped with the knowledge of three different souls: the heart, the soul and Siri (The Secret One). Then came Jesus. He was given the knowledge of the four souls. Then came Prophet Mohammed and the knowledge of five different souls came to culmination. Five dimensions of spirituality.

The [Abrahamic] religions are interlinked with each other. For example, Muslims must believe in all these prophets. If you are a Muslim and you say, ‘I don’t believe in Jesus.’ God will kick you out from Islam. You have to believe in all the Celestial Books, respect all and love all. What we see in the form of Islam today is not Islam. It is something else, it is a monster. Islam is a beautiful religion that taught people how to speak with God, how to respect Jesus, Moses, Adam, etc.

It is a sad story that those who truly represented religions are no more among us and we are left with corruptions in the religions.

Now we have an opportunity through the divine methodology granted to us by His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi – without needing religion, we can still reach God and find ourselves.
