Types of Love | Younus AlGohar

Amelika Confidence wrote a book called, ‘Religions and the Way to God’. He says to me, ‘You say that love is fundamental. What is love’s work. From where and to where does love go?’

He said to me, ‘If you have love and peace, or wish for them, you will welcome clean-hearted debate.’ In reply to this, I said to him, ‘Discussion is better than debate. I do not debate.’

Firstly, I did not say that love is fundamental. I talk about love and how to achieve love. I propagate the importance of love in a human’s life and I also discuss what the substance of love is and how to acquire love.

Regarding from where loves comes and to where it goes – love is not like a boat. Love is not like an airplane. Love is not transportation. What do you mean by, ‘From where it comes and to where it goes?’ I don’t understand it.

I’m sorry, but this is really bemusing. You need to understand different types of love. Love. metaphorically, is considered to be an outburst of emotions. That’s what people call love. These emotions have to be generated on a constant basis.

If you have an outburst of emotions for somebody for a few days and then it goes away, it is not love; it is infatuation, affection.

Affection

Affection is when you look at somebody physically and you like their body, you like their company because they are handsome or they are beautiful. You fall for the beauty of their body. It is called affection because it is affecting on you.

For example, you walk in a mall and see a woman who is wearing revealing clothes. You look at her and you want to keep looking art her. You forget why you are there. So in a way, you are affected. Suddenly, you forget everything and are just looking at that woman. If that woman was really unattractive, even if she was walking naked, you wouldn’t be affected. You would just continue doing whatever you were occupied. When we say, ‘Beautiful or ugly,’ it is to do with the body. Obviously, you are not looking at her soul or heart; you are looking at her body. This is why it is affection, sudden change.

Puppy Love

There is another type of love. When you are a child, you have innocent love. You have love for your toys and you fall out with other kids. You say, ‘This is my toy. I won’t let you play with it.’ Then you enter into a phase where you reach the age of puberty. When you reach the age of puberty and enter into adolescence, you begin to have feelings and vibes. If a girl at that time starts taking interest in you, you suddenly develop love. You become Romeo and think, ‘I have found the true love of my life. I’m going to sacrifice my life.’ That is fake understanding because the emotions that you have at the time are due to the fact that you entering into adolescence period. Before you reach puberty, you don’t have these kinds of emotions. But as you reach that age, the world changes. You’re not innocent anymore.

This outburst of emotion at the time when you reach the age of puberty is called puppy love or cupboard love. It doesn’t stay forever.

Because you have reached the age of puberty and there are new emotions, every time a girl takes interest in you, you think this is your true lover. You make a list of girlfriends. Every time you change a girlfriend, you think, ‘No, this is my true girlfriend.’ But as you become mature, you realise that it was nonsense. This is not love.

Divine Love

You have to be careful in defining divine love. You’re suppose to develop love for God and you haven’t seen or spoken with God. You don’t know anything about God. Whether you are a Muslim, Christian, Jew or you practise any other religion – you have the books and stories, but you have no personal experience about God.

How do you develop love for God? You look at a woman, her curves and her beauty and you fall in love with her. You have an outburst of emotions because you reach the age of puberty and you have puppy love. What about divine love? How do you have love for God?

Even if God has a handsome body, you haven’t seen him.

Some people think that becoming more religious, doing all the rituals and fulfilling all the commandments of God is God’s love. That’s obedience and practice of a religion. That is not love.

Then there are two types of love: conditional love and unconditional love.

It is very easy to say, ‘unconditional love,’ but unconditional love is very, very rare to be seen. When we say, ‘unconditional love,’ it means you have love for somebody and no matter what happens, this love will stay with you in your heart forever. Nothing will change.

For example, I respect you and you respect me. If I insult you, you will insult me. But if you have love for somebody and they insult you every day, do you think love in you heart for that person is not going to be affected? Of course it will be affected. If the other person doesn’t stop insulting and abusing, maybe this love will turn into hatred. There is a condition: if you behave well, I will love you. If you respect me, I will love you. If you  feed me, I will love you.

If somebody doesn’t do anything good, will you still love them? Humanly, it is not possible; but God has unconditional love. However, before unconditional love is granted to you by God, there are many conditions to be fulfilled.

I want to tell you how to obtain God’s love. Some people have a problem in their heart, so a pacer is installed inside the heart to generate ticking. In a similar way, we need an outburst of emotions for God in the heart.

There is no connection between you and God. How would you have emotions for God?

For a moment, just forget about God. If we say, ‘Please love Obama; he is very nice,’ can you do that? No.

There are many examples. Generally, men go after beautiful women who are fair in complexion, tall, etc. But we have heard, when the bird of love, Cupid, strikes on a heart, you will see that a man loves a woman who is not  beautiful at all. This is because somehow or other, he has emotions for her not for other women.

We need to generate an outburst of emotion for God. In order to do that, God’s light, God’ energy, has to be generated inside the heart through spirituality.

God’s name has his light; it is not like your name and my name. Spiritually, God’s name is implanted into the heart and thereafter, the heart will vibrate with God’s name constantly. As a result of this constant vibration of God’s name inside the heart, divine energy is generated. When enough divine energy has been accumulated inside the heart, you begin to have feelings for God.

When you have something from God inside your heart, it uplifts the outburst of emotions for God. This is the first stage of love. You begin to feel his light in your heart.

However, this love is not eternal. If you do something wrong and God doesn’t like it, then these emotions will be gone; this love may not stay forever.

The original form of love – which does not fade away and never disappears from the heart – is granted to an individual by God only when he is spiritually trained and makes a journey spiritually, by the soul of his head, and he arrives at a station where God will see him and he will see God.

The moment you see God, special energy will emanate from God’s body; it will come to you and will want to pull you towards God. This attraction from God is known as pure, unconditional love. It is natural.

If you have that energy that pulls you towards God, it will become unconditional love. Then, whatever happens, this love will never depart your heart.

When Religions Become Monsters

When Religions Become Monsters

When Religions Become Monsters

The world has changed so much and hatred is spreading far and wide. Humanity is going through the worst phase in history. Religions have become monsters.

When a person dies, their main soul is taken to the higher realms by the angels. Other auxiliary souls, if they are alive, stay in the grave. If none of the souls are alive, then at least one soul has to stay in the grave until the Day of Judgement is established. That one soul is the Self (the Nafs).

If you are passing through a cemetery, you may notice that there is a sense of fear from an unknown source. The Self is from the nation of Djinns. It is not completely an ethereal being; its nature is substance. The Self is affected by the cold and hot weather which is why it needs protection. Therefore, we make graves.

Now in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, people have started cremating their dead because it is cheaper than burying them. That is not good because when your body dies and is buried in the grave, the Self remains in your body. If the Self is purified and enlightened, it engages itself in invocation of God and different forms of worship. If it is not purified, then different Djinns (evil spirits) come and stay in that grave.

As long as there is a soul in your body and it is enlightened, no evil spirit will enter your body. If your soul is not enlightened and you don’t have divine energy in your body, then any evil spirit or Djinn can enter your body at any time and stay there. Djinns need protection which is why they seek shelter in bodies, houses, graves and different places.

Similarly, the soul of a religion is spirituality. When the spiritual system in any religion is destroyed, the religion becomes like a body which is vulnerable to forced entry by evil spirits. When the spiritual system in any religion was destroyed, then religion was murdered or made abode by the devil. This is when a religion becomes a monster.

A religion is not just a set of beliefs but also a set of principles from God. You are meant to adopt them and make a society in which everybody is given his and her rights. Self-respect and justice prevail and nobody is physically hurt. Everybody lives in perfect harmony.

God knows about you better than you do because you are God’s creation; he is aware of your nature.

In accordance with your nature, God sends down a set of principles with a messenger or a prophet. You adopt them and enlighten your mind, your soul and your lifestyle.

By adopting those divine principles, you establish a society in which there is no discrimination, tyranny or hatred.

When the spiritual system in the religion is destroyed and becomes subject to amalgamating opinions from human beings, it becomes a monster.

A common man does not leave any impact on the religion by rendering his opinions.

However the opinion of those who are held responsible for promoting and upholding the religious laws impact the religion.

According to a Prophetic Tradition, ‘When a common man makes a mistake, he becomes a sinner. When a mistake is made by a religious scholar then the religion is badly affected.’

A religion becomes a monster when the doctrine of spirituality and methodology of connecting hearts with God vanishes from that religion. Muslims will definitely find it difficult to understand – due to lack of knowledge about their religion – but it is true that Islam has been left with nothing but its name. The Quran has been left with no spiritual grace and benevolence for except the custom of recitation. This is why, Islam which is only 1436 years old, has become a monster today.

The Revolution of Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi

Some people are astounded when they hear this coming from a coloured man like myself, who originally comes from Pakistan and  who has been a very strict practitioner of the religion of Islam. They find it almost unbelievable and think, ‘This is too good to be true.’ I want to tell these individuals how this has become a reality.

How has it become possible for someone with my background to explain that the religion of Islam has also become a monster and that there is nothing left in Islam for except its name and nothing left in the Quran for except of customary recitation?

This would not have been possible had it not been for the sake of the spiritual grace of His Divine Eminence  Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi.

The credit goes to His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi for the fact that He, with spiritual power or His words of wisdom, gave us, the followers of HDE Gohar Shahi, the power of comprehension. With the spiritual concentration of His divine sight, He changed the hearts. He changed our thought process. He showed us the reality and He gave us intuitional understanding of the path and the religion. This power of comprehension is very important. It is not available any where in any book, mosque, temple, church, or country. It is a gift of HDE Gohar Shahi.

With the doctrine of HDE Gohar Shahi, we realised that Islam, Judaism, Christianity or any other religion is just a means to reach God. A religion is not the destination; God is the destination.

Until we met HDE Gohar Shahi, many of us thought that Islam was everything rather than God. Although we never verbalised it, in the back of our minds we always thought, ‘If we are not Muslims, we will never reach God.’ We were so wrong.

So many people reached and loved God even when there was no Islam. If Islam was the only religion which would connect people with God then why did Islam come towards the end of the world? What about the other people who came into this world and never practised Islam – how did they reach God then?

When this sheet of ignorance which was keeping our minds and intellect in the dark was removed with the spiritual concentration of HDE Gohar Shahi’s spiritual sight, I personally felt that a bar had been lifted.

God has created so many religions. If you can reach God following any religion, you are perfectly fine with that religion whether it is Hinduism, Sikhism or any other religion. That was the first barrier which was removed from our intellect and thought process. This was the point when my short-sightedness vanished. Before this, there has been a deadlock of limitations on my intellect and understanding because of which I was about to plunge into extremism.

Extremism

Extremism is when you think, ‘My religion is the best. No one can reach God without my religion, therefore everybody must adopt it – otherwise they are infidels.’

You become an extremist when you have wrong perceptions about your religion.

For example, you become a bad person when you have wrong perceptions about yourself. There are many people who think they are the best and nobody is equal to them. When you think like this, it means you live in a fool’s paradise.

When you think that your religion is the only truthful religion, everybody else is a non-believer and all other religions are fake, this is a wrong perception. I wonder why most Muslims think that if you are not a Muslim, you are a non-believer. What a silly thought! If you are Christian or Jewish, believe in God and respect your prophet then how are you not a believer?

Those who believe in God may practise any religion; you cannot call them non-believers.

You don’t have to have a religion in order to be a believer. You can be a believer even if you don’t practise or have any religion. But somehow or other, a majority of Muslims perceive that all those individuals who do not believe in Islam are non-believers. This is a misleading concept.

When people who do not know about Islam come to know of this perception of Muslims, they will think this notion has come from the Quran. They don’t know that the Quran never said that.

The Quran has set a principle. There are three points in the eyes of God for you to be believer: you must believe in God, the Day of Judgement and purification. If you believe in these three things, you may believe in any religion – whether you come from Judaism, Christianity or you are a Muslim – in the eyes of God you are a favourite.

The State of Islam Today

The trouble is that the concurrent ideology of Islam is not from Quran; it consists of sectarianism, creeds and opinions of different religious scholars within Islam. One denomination in Islam will 100% contradict with another denomination in Islam. They are so impatient and intolerant that they cannot coexist in one society. This is why they are killing each other and calling each other non-believers who must die!

The thing is: who do we blame for it? God? People? Who?

For example, when a set of traffic lights stops working, the government puts up a sign stating, ‘This set of traffic lights on this particular road is irreparable. Please do not use this road anymore.’ If people do not stop going there and continue to use it, when the traffic comes from all directions, cars will collide and people will get killed.

Who is responsible for this? The government said, ‘Don’t use this road.’ They didn’t fix it because they said it was irreparable. If you say, ‘This notification from the government did not reach me, I was never informed,’ [it is still your responsibility]. It was your duty to read the signs. The government will not send a letter to each and every citizen of the country!

In a similar way, when the spiritual system is destroyed in a religion it is a sign from God, ‘Do not use this religion!’

Younus AlGohar’s Interview with Siyatha TV

The following are selected excerpts from Younus AlGohar’s interview with Siyatha TV in Sri Lanka.

Religions and the Spiritual System

All the religions were established by great personalities. These personalities were sent by God, so no religion is bad. However, what happened in the last 100-200 years is that almost every religion has lost the spiritual system.

As a result of this spiritual system being destroyed, people are not truly aware of the soul of their religion, of the principle message of their religion.

This is why most Muslims are not good Muslims, most Hindus are not good Hindus and most Christians are not good Christians. And of course Buddhists who are not good Buddhists are so because they are not properly doing what they have been taught to do. This happens when you lose enlightenment, when you lose connection with God.

The problem is: people are still religious but something is wrong with their methodology. Some important part of the knowledge of the religion is missing. This is why they are misled into wrongdoings. When the youth see these religious people, they are not inspired by them because they always fighting. They are full of hatred.

The youth will never be inspired by these religious people; however the youth will be inspired by spirituality. The youth want to see results.

When they adopt spirituality and they feel good, they feel strength and they feel uplifting of their soul, they will definitely be inspired by spirituality. They will never be inspired by these religious people because they are not making any progress either within themselves or within the society. They are only making it worse, fostering more hatred and intolerance.

Spirituality is the key and solution to the existing problems.

Nowadays, people are changing their religions. I don’t think it’s going to make any difference because nobody is connected to God through any religion.

All religions come from God. If you are a Muslim and you want to study Hinduism, what is wrong with it? Hinduism also came from God. If you are a Muslim and you want to study the Bible, what’s wrong with it? The Bible also came from God. There is only one God. Either you are Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Jew or a Buddhist; it’s the same God, just different names. These objects are different manifestations of the same God.

Because of the lack spiritual knowledge in all these religions, people have become intolerant.

I’ll give you an example: one man works as a doorman, another works as an anchor and the third person works as a Chief Executive – but nobody is getting a salary. Does it make any difference? He is a doorman, he doesn’t get a salary. You are an anchor; you don’t get your salary. The Chief Executive doesn’t get his salary. So basically, you are not getting anything.

In a similar way, when you are a Muslim and you are not connected to the God. It doesn’t make any difference whether you become a Hindu, a Muslim or a Christian. If you are not connected to God; nothing is working for you. If you were connected to God as a Muslim, you would never leave your religion. If you are connected to God as a Buddhist, you would never leave your religion – because then it would not be about the religion. You would be connected with God.

You would respect that religion, because through that religion, you were connected to God.

A Brief Introduction to Kalki Avatar Lord Ra Gohar Shahi and His Mission

Lord Ra Gohar Shahi is sent by God and there are Divine Signs [proclaiming His advent].

His images have become prominent on the Moon, the Sun, on Mars and the Holy Black Stone. The Holy Black Stone is greatly revered and people, out of love and affection, kiss it. It is believed that when they kiss it, all their sins are washed away. God has manifested his signs in the form of images of His Divine Grace Lord Ra Gohar Shahi and people all over the world believe Lord Ra Gohar Shahi to be Kalki Avatar, Imam Mehdi and Messiah.

According to the divine plan, His Divine Eminence Kalki Avatar/Imam Mehdi/Messiah Gohar Shahi is here for the entire humanity, for everybody in this world. It is not physically possible for everybody to see him in person. That’s why these images have become prominent. If people look at the Moon, when they see the image of HDE Gohar Shahi, they can speak with that image and they will have a reply. They can also receive spiritual healing and spiritual grace. All those things can be obtained from the image on the moon.

He is love, He is for everybody and His purpose on Earth is to teach everybody love and peace. [He is] uniting all humanity.

Kalki Avatar Lord Ra Gohar Shahi is not a physical doctor; he is doing something which nobody can do. He can heal the wounds of the soul.

These wounds of the souls cannot be healed in any hospital by doctor. So people will approach His Divine Grace Lord Ra Gohar Shahi for their spiritual ailments and spiritual wounds – which nobody can [heal]. And His blessings are for everybody without any hindrance, without any limitations, without any discrimination for everybody.

Kalki Avatar right now is in occultation and physically is not making any appearances to common people. However, the time will come when he will become apparent and people will be able to meet with him. Through our representatives you may be in conversation with Lord Ra Gohar Shahi.

Prescribed Method of Meditation

Meditation that we propagate is a little different than what others describe. This meditation that we promote is done after the enlightenment of the heart and the soul. When the soul is enlightened, when the heart is enlightened then the souls inside our body become worthy of making a spiritual journey. When the journey is performed by these souls and they arrive at their respective spiritual station that is called meditation.

His Divine Grace Lord Ra Gohar Shahi has penned down a book on spirituality and this book is available online and it can be downloaded. It is available on www.amazon.com and other international book stores. If people study this book, they will understand the purpose of life. Maybe it will bring a change in their lives.

How a Fanatic Compares to a Lover of God

How a Fanatic Compares to a Lover of God

How a Fanatic Compares to a Lover of God

The following is an excerpt from a speech delivered by Younus AlGohar.

Fanaticism

Messiah Foundation International has come up with a diagnostic solution of ongoing global terrorism. We understand that the reason behind this global terrorism today is the radicalisation from a certain denomination in Islam.

In the era before 9/11, such individuals were known as fundamentalists. ‘Fundamentalism’ is a term that was coined by a think tank in Western society to refer to people who strictly follow the religion and disapprove of Western values.

Then, from fundamentalism, they took a big leap to extremism.

Fanaticism is the cogitation in which people become so obsessed with their religious beliefs that they become irrational. This comes with brainwashing.

I watched a movie in which there were two women in love with one man. One was a calm character and the other was very hyper; by hook or crook, she wanted to be with her beloved. When she found out that her beloved loved someone else, she took to physically harming him.

When you don’t manage to obtain what you want, you lose sanity and you become irrational; this is the state in which you become a fanatic.

True Love of God

For example, no prophet or messenger – not even God – has given this creation a more sublime knowledge than what Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi has given to us, His followers. There is no truth in comparison to the truth that has been presented by Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi. There is no group of people in this world, in any religion or spiritual order who love their Master more than members of MFI do.

According to neo-spiritual principles of the Western society today, we perfectly fit into the personality cult regime. However, we have not lost sanity and we have not become irrational.

This is because the teachings of Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi are a beautiful combination of the Exterior Knowledge and Interior Knowledge.

On one hand, the teachings of Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi connect hearts of the masses with divinity. On the other hand, the teachings of Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi connect a human being with another upon the principles of equity, mutual love, societal harmony and mutual respect for every single human soul on Earth.

If you ask Hindus, they think they are the best nation on Earth; they think Muslims are impure. If you ask Jews, they think they are the best. If you ask Muslims, they think the truth for the first time was brought by Prophet Mohammad; they believe the pre-Islamic era was full of darkness, infidelity and sorcery. However, they also admit the fact that Prophet Mohammad was the last of all the prophets and messengers – which clearly indicates the fact that there had been more than 124,000 prophets. Most definitely, these prophets were designated and anointed by the same God who sent Prophet Mohammad. The knowledge they brought upon their groups would have come from the same God. Even so, Muslims believe that Jews, Hindus, Sikhs and Christians are infidels; they think they are the best.

We also say the same but we are not fanatics. We are not extremists and we do not hate. We love everybody. We love Hindus, we love Christians, and we love Jews – because we want everybody to become the best. We are not playing a game. It is not as if we are in a business where I become a billionaire and my counterpart goes bankrupt.

If any religion, group of people or faith practises Exterior Knowledge only and are naive to knowledge of spirituality, then they will eventually become hateful.

A Muslim boy in India was killed because he was eating beef. They said, ‘He was eating beef, so he must die.’ That’s terrible. He is eating beef according to the allowance set forth by his religion. Hindus regard cows to be sacred; they may practise their belief, but if someone wants to eat beef, then let him. For example, Muslims do not eat pork. However, when we go to United Arab Emirates, we see restaurants serving pork. When Muslims should not eat pig, they don’t eat it; but they don’t stop others. Go by the rules and regulations of your religion and let others go by the rules and regulations of their religion.

It is very interesting to note that in the Religion of God (Divine Love) by Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi, He said, ‘All these religions think they are the best. A Hindu says he is the best. A Muslim says he is the best. A Jew says he is the best and a Christian says he is the best. But Gohar Shahi says, “The best among all of you is one who has God’s love in his heart even if he doesn’t practise any religion.”’

The best among you is one whose heart is filled with God’s love. When you heart is filled with God’s love, you do not hurt or harm anybody, and this will show that you are the best. How can you consider yourself the best if you are causing distress to every single human being on Earth and spreading terrorism? If people have become uneasy because of your existence, are living in fear and are scared?

The best is one who benefits all; whose existence on earth is benefitting all human beings and everybody is safe by him.

Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi said, ‘It’s not about being the best; it’s about loving God or not loving God. If you love God, you will love humanity. If you don’t love God you will not love humanity.’

Whether you practise a religion or not, it doesn’t really matter. The truth is, only the religious people do not love humanity. Those who practise religion [rigidly] don’t love humanity and those who do not believe in religions – even atheists – are helping poor people. They don’t hurt anybody or harm anybody. I doubt that God would want to love somebody who practises his religion but hates humanity – as opposed to somebody who says, ‘I don’t believe in God,’ but at the same time, he is helping a lot of people on Earth.

Such people have a belief system and in believing in all those principle universal truths set by God, no change is seen in them; [rather] their character worsens. Not only do they hate humanity, but they have become so intolerant that they do not want to see any other sect or group of people with a different set of beliefs on Earth. This is extreme intolerance; they cannot coexist with other religious people.

His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi said, ‘It doesn’t matter whether you believe in a religion or you don’t believe in it. Learn to love God; that’s what matters.’

Religions have set limitations. A Hindu will befriend another Hindu and a Muslim will befriend another Muslim.

When someone has liberated themselves from the limitations of the religion and are now focused on acquiring God’s love, then they will befriend anybody who wants to acquire and obtain divine love.

Obtaining divine love does not come by listening to lectures. These lectures will give you some knowhow of the path; however, you will manage to learn to love God only when you are initiated on to the Spiritual Path, when your souls are awakened and nurtured with the divine light and proximity of the Spiritual Guide.

The Power of a Willing Heart

The Power of a Willing Heart

The Power of a Willing Heart

I went to a Pakistani school in Karachi where even the teachers do not know English. One day, I saw His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi in my dream; He was telling me, ‘You should learn English. The next day I went to see HDE Gohar Shahi and said, ‘This is what I saw in my dream.’

HDE replied, ‘Perhaps in the future, you will be involved in widespread of this mission. So I want you to learn the language.’ So I started self-study. Sometimes in dreams also, HDE would tell me how to speak.

I worked really hard. I used to go to the British Council Library and a library in the American Consulate in Karachi. I would sit there for 5-6 hours every day and read books.

Turmoil and hard work will never go into a waste.

The effects of that hard work started to come up to the surface. When I came to live in England 23 years ago, I had an opportunity to brush up my language skills. I went to a college and then I spent 3 years doing a Proficiency in English Diploma from Cambridge University.

One thing is very significant and prominent: when you speak, every word must be pronounced correctly. If you do not pronounce it correctly, people will not understand what you are saying. When I came to England, I would speak to people there and they wouldn’t understand me. I used to think to myself, ‘I thought I learned English.’ I used to go back home and check in the dictionary whether the word that I said to them really existed; the word was right but they wouldn’t understand it because I was not pronouncing it correctly.

Never Give Up

It is not difficult. Nothing is difficult for a willing heart. Nothing is impossible.

One day I was alone with HDE Gohar Shahi; we were travelling to South Africa by plane. I asked HDE Gohar Shahi about fate. I asked, ‘What is fate? Everything is written about our life by God; then why should we waste our time when everything is written?’

HDE said to me, ‘Well, some decisions about your life are pre-written. But as long as you have a willing heart, then even your fate will not disturb you.’

One day, HDE Gohar Shahi said to me, ‘Never give up.’

This is an attribute of the Devil: he never gives up. For example, if a man becomes a Friend of God, it is literally not possible for the Devil to mislead or misguide him. He knows that that man is a Friend of God and he is under severe protection of God; but even then he does not give up.

HDE Gohar Shahi said, ‘That is what I like about the Devil: he doesn’t give up.’

When you do not give up on wrong things, then you are stubborn and God will hate you. But when you do not give up on right things, you are a Friend of God. If you do not give up on wrong things, you are a stubborn man; but if you do not give up on right things, you are steadfast.

If you listen to me and say, ‘Wow, that’s beautiful,’ and you go home and forget about it, then it is useless. For somebody who really wants to change his life, there are many different classified and unclassified resources from where he can learn.

Self-Love

Self-Love

Self-Love

Everyone claims to love the Lord more than they love anybody or anything else. But in reality, a human being loves himself more than he loves anybody else.

We help others and exhibit generosity for our own satisfaction and pleasure. Self-love is very discreet and you never happen to notice how much you love yourself.

In loving your own self, you exhibit love to others thinking this love will bounce back and that you will gain respect and love.

A common man will never think that he loves himself. But you love your children because they are your children and you love your wife because she is your wife. You do not feel the same love for another person’s children or wife.

Have you ever thought about how much you love yourself? Most people don’t think about it.

Everybody loves himself but you cannot love anybody else until you stop loving yourself.

Either you love yourself, or you love your wife, children, business or the Lord. You cannot love two different things at the same time, including yourself. If you say, ‘I love so-and-so,’ it means you love yourself and that person.

When you love others, you love them for your own sake. You actually love yourself and you express love to your children, wife, parents and fellowmen.

Now the question is: are you able to see whether or not you love the Lord more than you love yourself? Do you have a criterion upon which you can judge whose love weighs more in the scale of your heart?

In order to weaken self-love in you, you have to learn the art of forgiving.

If you have learned to forgive your enemy, it will benefit you greatly. By doing so, your ego will weaken thus lessening your self-love. However, if you retaliate and take revenge, you are causing great harm to yourself because it will strengthen your ego.

Ask yourself: is it easy for you to forgive others, especially those who have really damaged your good name, who are slandering and back-biting against you? It will always hurt; but relatively, it will become easy to say, ‘No, I am not going to retaliate. I will forgive.’

True forgiveness is not verbally saying, ‘I forgive you.’ Rather, it means there are no negative emotions or malice in your heart for that person. Your heart is clean.

But this ability to forgive comes with the abundance of Divine Energy in your heart and souls.
